Greco-Persian Wars

The Greco-Persian Wars were a series of conflicts between several Greek city-states and the Persian Empire that started in 499 BC and lasted until 448 BC. The expression "Persian Wars" usually refers to both Persian invasions of the Greek mainland in 490 BC and in 480-479 BC; in both cases, the allied Greeks successfully repulse the invasions. Not all Greek city-states fought against the Persians; some were neutral and others allied with Persia, especially as its massive armies approached.

Those worlds on the top are not all of them mine. Persian and Athens had problem from many years ago. the king or persia tried to extend his county, and get more power. They were successful, but finally they lost. I can mention on "300" movie. It's good movie on recording, actors, and animation. It shows the war between Athens and Persia, but the story was changed. If you want know more about these wars, let me know; i can give you good references.

#5

After Cyrus the Persian Empire was shaky. Darius extended Persian Empire to its farthest reach such as all way into Macedon. The Persian Empire decided to attack Athenians that Athenians knew about the Persian army and their tactics. Xerxes started to attack other country such as Persian and he was successful. Athenians get power but not more than Persian Empire.
Persian Empire was came down by Alexander the Great .
Alexander,s army crossed  the Cilician Gates, met and defeated the main Persian army under the command of Darius at the Battle of Issus in 33 BC. Darius was forced to run away the battle after his army broke, and in doing so left behind his wife , his two daughters , his mother and a fabulous amount of treasure. He offered a peace treaty to Alexander at a later , and he invite Alexander to Persian. Alexander replied that since he was now king of the Asia , It was he alone who decided territorial divisions.
